Terren Jiatong Shi is a practising landscape architect and writer lives and works on Naarm (Melbourne), the unceded land of the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung people.  Terren contributes landscape architecture reviews on websites like Landscape Australia and World Landscape Architecture.

Terren is interested in understanding the ways in which landscape architecture and urban design have been shaped by social and political contexts – and how they can be used to address contemporary social and environmental challenges.  Terren hopes to use practice to visiblise and celebrate the diverse experiences and lesser-known stories within the field of landscape architecture.

Terren was selected to M_Curator program 2023 by MPavilion, a public programming project for young art and design professionals to curate events at MPavilion.

Terren currently works at a small landscape architecture studio and as a sessional tutor at the University of Melbourne.

Terren became a devoted cinephile in 2023, watching films with growing curiosity and intent. She keeps a record of her viewing on Letterboxd and welcomes any excuse to talk movies.
